Daft Punk

Random Access Memories officially dropped this past week. I think Daft Punk’s fans were expecting Discovery or Human After All, but instead got something radically different. As one of the most highly anticipated albums of recent memory, it’s no surprise that opinions varied across the board.

This may be a bit wax poetic, but RAM is really a beautiful album experience. Daft Punk brought the human touch back to music not with its live instrumentation or legendary musicians, but capturing our relationship to music. Each song evokes a memory, sentiment, or a feeling that just makes my mouth curl up in a smile.

Now to get my hands on the Japanese release on vinyl.
